This one day workshop is suitable for first time basket makers or those wanting to practise their skills. You will weave the base of the basket before adding the uprights to weave the side and border; finally adding a handle to make basket with your own hands.

All materials and tools are provided.

On this two-day course, you will learn how to make a willow storage basket using the traditional stake and strand technique: woven round base, two weaving patterns to weave the sides before finishing the basket with integrated handles and a border.

On this course you will learn how to make a willow bag using the Catalan weaving technique to create a base, two different weaving techniques for the sides before finishing the bag with leather handles and a simple trac border.

This rectangular basket teaches a variety of rush basketry techniques. You will learn different weave patterns to weave the rectangle base, before attaching to the forma to weave the sides which will be woven using a combination of weave patterns, pairing and reverse pairing before turning down the border.

You can choose to either make rush handles or add soft leather handles at an additional cost.

You will be able to choose from a selection of willow on the day to weave the base of the basket making the design unique to you.
